Gisele (Gal Gadot) correctly guesses that Han (Sung Kang) is an ex-smoker, due to the habit of constantly eating crisps (to compensate for his nicotine craving). Han's character and backstory were established in the unofficial predecessor, Better Luck Tomorrow (2002), where he was indeed a chain-smoker.
