Scenes of Kong climbing down Skull Mountain after Ann and Discoll's escape were cut from the final print. However, the mountain and raging river flowing down it are featured in "The Most Dangerous Game", filmed concurrently with "King Kong", as Fay Wray and Joel McCrea attempt to escape human hunter Leslie Banks.
