The song "Wada karo nahi chhodo ge mera saath" from the movie "Aa gale lag ja" directed by none other than R D Burman which was released in 1973 is very similar to the initial tune of "Song For My Father" by Horace Silver (1964).Also, the opening bass piano notes for this piece were in turn borrowed from "Rikki Don't Lose That Number" by Steely Dan, while the opening horn riff was borrowed by Stevie Wonder for his song "Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing".
