A year into Trapper John's success, star Gregory Harrison took a wet t shirt picture of himself with the caption "For Ladies Only"; an inscription he scrawled on there himself; and presented it to Head of Programming, Brandon Tartikoff, at NBC; as a pitch. Tartikoff asked "What do you want to do with this?". And Harrison answered "Produce my own tv movie". And Tartikoff said "Done". And the rest is history. Most people don't realize Harrison himself came up with the idea about the tv movie about male strippers; and he co-wrote and co-executive produced the movie. This is much the same thing that Channing Tatum would do in 2012 with Magic Mike.
