Timothee Chalamet went on to play Paul Atreides in Dune (2020). The 1984 version of Dune was directed by David Lynch and starred Kyle MacLachlan in that role. Laura Dern appeared with MacLachlan in Lynch's subsequent projects Blue Velvet and Twin Peaks. Dern's role in this film was previously played by Susan Sarandon, who appeared in Children of Dune.
