Legacy Effects built appendages for one of the funniest superheroes in the film, T.D.K. (or The Detachable Kid). Digital arms would replace Nathan Fillion's arms as they detach from his torso and fly through the air, smacking the Corto Maltese soldiers in their faces. To aid the digital teams, Shane says that, "Chris Swift and I were actually slow-motion walking them (the arms) across to the soldiers and slapping them in the head, which was all replaced with a digital version, but it gave them something to work with." He continues, "And then we had them just laying on the ground detached." Shane recalls with a chuckle, "They were really pretty groovy."
