The lead actress, M. L. Piyapas Bhirombhakdi, played Princess Suriyothal as her debut performance: indeed, she had never even acted before, as was a Lady-in-Waiting to the then Queen of Thailand, who, the latter herself, had suggested her after she (the Queen) had first recommended the story to be filmed to the director.
