Some minor characters were cut out from the original stage musical, such as Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella's father, and the Mysterious Man. In the stage version, the Mysterious Man appears from the beginning and shows up intermittently, and is later revealed to be the Baker's father, while in the movie the Baker's father only appears as a vision in Act II.
