The book The Road Out Of Hell mentions in 1962 in Saskatoon that Sanford Clark told his son Jerry (co-author of the book) about everything that happened to him in California in 1929. The confession was sparked by the recent homicide of a young nurse who had gone missing for nearly two weeks and whose body was then found partially buried not far from her apartment. The nurse was a next door neighbour to the Clark's (across the alley).
