When Greta Garbo utters her famous "I want to be alone" line, the song "Lover come back to me" can be heard; the song was written for the 1928 play Passione cosacca (1930). The bridge of the song contains an excerpt from a piece by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky entitled "The Seasons, June, Barcarolle".
