All three love interests Scott McCall has throughout the series were individually part of a group that were stated to have an issue with wolves/werewolves: Allison Argent, whose family hunted werewolves; Kira Yukimura, a kitsune, whose mother stated that kitsune don't get along with werewolves and who read in kitsune lore that foxes and wolves don't get along; and Malia Tate, a werecoyote, at whose first appearance it was stated that coyotes hate wolves.
