After production on the film was completed, Jason Momoa (Conan) went on to star as Khal Drogo in the first season of HBO's Il trono di spade (2011). Nonso Anozie, who played Conan's shipmate Artus, would star as Xaro Xhoan Daxos in the second season of the series.
