Hidden in one of the signs for soft drinks in the town, is a deep cut reference to Pixar's Up (2009). A poster on a side street off the main square has an ad for a cherry flavored beverage with various bottle caps on the right for other flavors, it's a little difficult to see but the purple colored cap is a nod to the grape soda pin that Ellie gave Carl when they were kids. In the "Art of Luca" book shows a design was made for a bottle cap labelled "Uva", the Italian word for grape, confirming this is indeed a reference to Up (2009).
