George Wendt suggested he reprise his role from Cin cin (1982) by doing an episode in which his character Norm, along with John Ratzenberger as Cliff, made a series of prank calls to Frasier's (Kelsey Grammer) radio show. Ultimately, Norm and Cliff appeared on this show together under a different scenario during season nine.
