In this context, Morpheus is the prophet who guides the ship Nebuchadnezzar. It is of interest to note that Morpheus is the name of the Greek god of dreams - the one who morphs (lit. "forms") dreams. Coupled with information from Enter the Matrix, it's possible that Morpheus' real name is Daniel.
