It was a coincidence that Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel both have brown hair and blue eyes. At the ATX TV Festival for Gilmore Girls' 15-Year Reunion (2015), creator Amy Sherman-Palladino even stated, "it was just lucky that the two of them had blue eyes, and dark hair... that was, I don't know, that was just pixie dust, I don't know how the hell that happened."
