Dev Anand's Ishq Ishq Ishq, was offered to Asha Sachdev. She turned it down as she did not want to do a small role. Dev then offered it to Padmini Kapila. She was signed but then dropped due to Zeenat Aman not wanting her in the film. The role was eventually done by Shabana Azmi.
