When Worf (Michael Dorn) joined the cast, there was no intention from the start to have him engage in a relationship with Jadzia Dax (Terry Farrell). However, everybody kept noticing how good the chemistry was between their two characters, so when the suggestion was made to pair them together, everyone felt it was the natural thing to do.
