The character "Ray Foster" is loosely based on real-life EMI executive Ray Featherstone. When Foster refuses to promote the song "Bohemian Rhapsody", Freddie tells him that he'll forever be remembered as the man who lost Queen. At the end of the movie, the song "We Are the Champions" is playing while a montage rolls. Ray Foster is shown once again sitting behind his desk and his screen image is perfectly timed to the lyric "No Time for Losers."
