Anna Faris originally dyed her hair black for the first film because she wanted to resemble Neve Campbell more, as Scream (1996) was the film primarily being parodied. For this film, she simply reverted back to her natural blonde hair, to more closely resemble Naomi Watts, since this film primarily parodies The Ring (2002).
