Heather Menzies-Urich's role of Jessica had been played In the source movie La fuga di Logan (1976) by Jenny Agutter. Both actresses had had movie roles as daughters of Julie Andrews: Menzies-Urich (as a stepdaughter) in Tutti insieme appassionatamente (1965) and Agutter in Un giorno... di prima mattina (1968). Menzies-Urich's "Sound of Music" sister Angela Cartwright, who had spent three seasons on Lost in Space (1965), guest starred in La fuga di Logan: The Collectors (1977).
