In the original In viaggio nel tempo (1989), when Sam Beckett leaped into a body, the person he leaped into would leap back into Sam's body in the future to the waiting room back at the laboratory. This doesn't happen in the revival. Ernie Hudson's character, Magic" said he could felt a nudge and he let's it in, then blacked out for a day, which is the opposite of what happened when they exchanged bodies.
