The Line of Durin is not the only bloodline ended in this film. During Legolas's fight with Bolg, Bolg is killed following Legolas driving his knife into his brain and then throwing him into an icy pit where he is crushed to death by stone bricks. It is heavily implied that Bolg is Azog's son in the Hobbit Trilogy. A while earlier, Bolg had killed Kili in front of Tauriel while Fili was murdered by Azog earlier. Following the fight between Bolg and Legolas, Azog delivers a mortal blow to Thorin who then kills Azog. Thus the bloodline of Durin and Azog are both ended...though, technically, Dain and Thorin's sister Dis are members of that same Bloodline, so Azog lost.
