Armie Hammer was considered for the role of Bruce Wayne a.k.a. Batman. He also had signed on to play the role in George Miller's canceled film "Justice League: Mortal". It would be the second movie with Hammer and Henry Cavill together, after Operazione U.N.C.L.E. (2015).
