The series utilized the hit theme song from its parent movie, written and - in Dalle 9 alle 5... orario continuato (1980) - sung by Dolly Parton. However, during the series four episode trial run in the spring of 1982, a new recording of the "9 to 5" theme sung by Phoebe Snow was utilized. Parton's version would serve as theme from the time of the series' fall season debut on 28 September 1982.
