Although Paul Walker died and his character Brian O'Conner retired at the end of Fast & Furious 7 (2015), his character lives on and was mentioned by Tej (Ludacris) in one scene. This movie contains tributes to Walker, particularly Dom naming his son "Brian" in honor of his brother-in-law.
