At one point, this was to be a continuation of Gojira tai Mosura tai Mekagojira: Tôkyô S.O.S. (2003). Although officially never announced, there is evidence in early ideas of considering Kiryu on the roster, early concept art found of a reworked SOSGoji design, and the inclusion of the Mothra Imago suit in the final film.
