Season two, episode seventeen, "Bounty Hunters" featured a dedication to Akira Kurosawa, and was a direct retelling of his movie Seven Samurai (1954). George Lucas was heavily influenced by Kurosawa's work, references which appeared throughout the Star Wars saga. The episode was released on what would've been Kurosawa's 100th birthday.
