Actor John Glover was initially cast as Cobra Kai sensei John Kreese. He was recast for an unknown reason but was filmed by Avildsen during script read-thru's for the scene that eventually became the parking lot altercation between Kreese and Miyagi after the All Valley tournament in the beginning of the 2nd film in the series.
