Producer Mark Patterson became very handy with a hammer and saw helping out the art department in France. "In France we had a very small unit, so I'd do whatever was needed with tools or cement, or help the gaffers, grips or AD [assistant directors]. I loved it . . . I'm a filmmaker first and a producer second,"Patterson said.
