Most of the group owns a very specific weapon that can be related to their native culture and could also indicate the historical time they became immortal. Despite beliefs that Andromache of Scythia is older, she uses an ancient axe stylistic of circa 2000 years BCE; Middle Eastern Joe uses a medieval war scimitar and Italian Nicky uses a medieval one-handed sword, both from the 11th century CE, since they first met in the Crusades. The exceptions are Booker and Nile because both are from modern military backgrounds, the first from the Napoleonic era (and the use of gunpowder) in the 19th century CE, the latter from the war in Afghanistan (and the use of heavy military weapons) in the 21st century CE. Also interesting are their individual combat styles that reflect their knowledge of their original time: Nicky and Joe have the same fighting skills because they have been living together since the Crusades; their synergy is probably because they've learned a lot from each other, which also expresses their strong intimacy and confidence. Booker and Nile are more tactical, preferring the use of fists and firearms because of their military origins. Andy has been a loner for thousands of years, so she can handle a large number of opponents by herself.
