For 10 years, Obi-Wan believed Anakin Skywalker to be dead so the presence of the armoured Darth Vader shocks him. In Episode IV, Obi-Wan does not look alarmed when he meets Vader again on the Death Star and calmly ignites his lightsaber before their duel.
