The first film to involve a yeti as the catalyst that transforms Waldemar into a werewolf (the "yeti origin" appearing again in Il licantropo e lo yeti (1975). Paul Naschy followed this film with El retorno de Walpurgis (1973), which became the highest-grossing film in the series.
