While shooting C'mon C'mon (2021), Joaquin Phoenix had to stop his younger co-stars from calling him "Joker". According to director Mike Mills, filming took place during the promotion of this film and there were numerous posters of Phoenix's face as Arthur Fleck/Joker plastered all over the media.
