Harley's sequence recalls Scottie's nightmare sequence from Alfred Hitchcock Vertigo. The bouquet transitions in Vertigo from the photographic to the animated in a flash, albeit from a dated perspective, similarly as the suspension of the viewers belief in the reality of the screen that we get right as Harley unleashes her radial mandala of trauma and beauty with guns blazing.
