Madame Blanc is rather different than her character in the original Dario Argento production. In the original film, she is the primary ruler of the Coven under Helena Markos and wants Suzy dead. In the remake, she appears to have less power in the comparison to the other witches (Vendegast, Tanner, and Markos herself) and she is friendly, in a teacher-like manner, to Suzy Bannon.
