Jerry Bruckheimer was brought in to produce at a very late stage. The studio rejected the original cut due to poor reactions from test audiences. Extensive re-shoots, featuring new material written by Laeta Kalogridis, were helmed by Danny Cannon over two weeks, for a reported $15M.
