Producers wanted to cut out the scene between Victor and Jenny, played by Lisa Eilbacher, but Martin Brest felt it was necessary to the plot and that it was the scene where Victor's villainy became clear. Brest made a trade. In order to keep the scene in, he had to give in and include the freeze frame shot at the end of the film. Brest didn't like this aesthetic idea, but acquiesced.
