When word got out that Kate Bishop would feature as a character (known to fans of the genre as the one who takes on the mantle of Hawkeye after Clint Barton), it gave the impression that Clint Barton's character would be dealt & disposed with early on, and this would then primarily be Bishop's story. This turned out to be a gross misconception, as Clint Barton features heavily in every episode throughout and this, in the end, is as much his story as it is hers.
