Once Kamal Haasan had procured rights to the sequel in 2017, a 10-day schedule was planned at the Chennai Military Academy to film the final song. Actress Andrea Jeremiah, who plays Asmita had participated in the filming. As film had been delayed for years, most of the original crew had moved onto other projects and as a result, editor Vijay Sankar was roped in to edit the sequence. Haasan himself wrote the song in Tamil while Prasoon Joshi penned the hindi lyrics
