Co-director Joe Russo is a big fan of a YouTube channel called Screen Junkies. One of their segments is called Honest Trailers, which features spoofing movie trailers which poke fun at the movies for which they appear to be. Russo was aiming this film to be "Honest Trailer-proof." However, Screen Junkies did release an Honest Trailer for it, in August of 2014, and the Russo brothers appeared in a special video to discuss it with the YouTube channel host Hal Rudnick, and Honest Trailers writers Dan Murrell and Spencer Gilbert on April 16, 2016.
