When asked how many cameras he uses to shoot a movie, director J.A. Bayona stated: "We shoot with one camera, only one camera. Because my DP, Oscar Faura, he loves Roger Deakins. Roger Deakins is his favorite DP, and he always talks about Roger Deakins, and I didn't know that Roger Deakins was the same way as him, like he only works with one camera, but I understand now why."
