The Masters Of Disaster originated in the comics as foes of The Outsiders, which Black Lightning was a member of. The group seen on the show differs in several ways from the original comics characters however. Windfall/Wendy was a blonde haired, blue eyed Caucasian, and Heatstroke in the comics was female and lovers with Coldnap. In addition Windfall and New Wave in the comics were sisters.
