Dewey and Sidney both point out that the killer "always come back". Dewey goes back to shoot the presumed dead Amber, but is killed when he's distracted by Gale's phone call. In the denouement, Sam is advised of the same rule, then shoots Richie three times before he has a chance to come back to life. Shortly after, the (again) presumed dead Amber pops up screaming, only for Tara to shoot her dead. This continues the Scream tradition of at least one killer coming back before being shot dead.
