In the original DC Vertigo comic the main characters' appearances differ greatly from the show. Maze (also called Mazikeen) is drawn with white skin and no flesh on half of her face (usually covered by a mask when in public). In season 2 of the show, Maze reveals her true face to Trixie, which is much like her comics appearance. Amenadiel is also white and appears much older (with white hair and a beard). And Lucifer himself was drawn, under strict instructions from Neil Gaiman, to look like Sting
