The last line of the film, "I am saying goodbye," was actually said by Louis XVI youngest sister Princess Elisabeth. She is one of the little girls that Marie Antoinette is with when she's opening her boxes when she arrives at her private apartments. She was with the king and queen till the end and was put to death after their trials.
