This trilogy is about the age of men. The Elves help in the battle of Helms Deep in The Two Towers, but the Dwarves do literally nothing throughout this entire trilogy. Men should be more angry with the dwarves for hanging out in their caves while the world is ending and less angry about Rohan being late to help Gondor.
