For season seven, an episode to be filmed in Hong Kong was planned, but ultimately scrapped. Instead, season seven, episodes one and two, "L.A." was filmed in Los Angeles, California. Despite the show setting scenes and episodes around the world (France, Italy, Northern Ireland, Mexico, "Costa de Rosa", Kenya, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Japan), the only other location shoot outside of Hawaii was season six, episodes one and two, "Déjà Vu", which was shot in London, England and the surrounding countryside.
