Both Sir Sean Connery and Louis Gossett Jnr. had both won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, these being for 'The Untouchables' (1987) and 'An Officer and a Gentleman' (1982) respectively. Both of their Oscar wins were during the 1980s decade. This is the only time that the pair are seen together on the big screen.
