There is a shot where Sonic is seen coming inside the Master Emerald temple, sliding down on water. They used the same layout from Sonic the Hedgehog (1991) "Labyrinth Zone Act 3" where Sonic is constantly sliding down on water until he finds the switch to break the loop and unveil an secret exit.
